【Herbs】 The dry root bark is a short cylindrical or grooved roll, of varying sizes, typically 3 to 10 centimeters long, 0.6 to 1.5 centimeters wide and about 3 millimeters thick. The outer surface is grayish yellow or brownish yellow, rough and has miscellaneous longitudinal cracks and is easily peeled off. The inside surface is yellowish-white, relatively flat, with fine vertical stripes.
