In the era of automation, machine substitutions become a trend: welding robots welcome the second spring

Under the general trend of the era of automation, machine substitution has become an irresistible trend, and the robot industry is facing an unprecedented opportunity for development. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has publicly stated that it will make joint efforts with relevant departments to promote the development of the robot industry. This means that there will be a package of favorable policies for the robot industry to follow and a promising future. China's manufacturing industry is facing a transformation and upgrading, and the demand for robots has grown rapidly. In 2013, it became the world's largest robot market. Among them, compared to the service robot that has just started, the industrial robot market is more mature and growing rapidly. According to statistics, in 2015, the output of industrial robots in China was 32,996 sets, a year-on-year increase of 21.7%; in the first three quarters of 2016, the cumulative output was as high as 50,900 sets, an increase of 30.8% year-on-year. The data shows that the average growth rate of industrial robots in China is much higher than that of the national industrial and equipment manufacturing industry.
About half of the industrial robots are used for various forms of welding processes, that is, welding robots are most commonly used. Welding robots have a larger proportion of industrial robots, and it can be considered that the history of the development of industrial robots is the history of the development of welding robots. Industrial robots have been rapidly developed, and as the most important component of the welding robot is expected to usher in the second spring. Welding processing is a work with poor working conditions, high heat radiation, and high risk, and it has high requirements for operating skills and welding standards. Therefore, the use of machines instead of manual welding guarantees welding quality, increases welding efficiency, and avoids welders facing excessive risks. The earliest applied field of welding robots was automobile assembly, because the process was simple, the control was convenient, and the requirements for robot accuracy were lower. Since the 1990s, the welding technology of robots has been greatly improved, manufacturing costs have been declining, and they have been widely used in various industries. Nowadays, labor costs continue to rise, and manufacturing companies prefer to use robots. By investing in robots, the competitiveness of enterprise products has increased significantly, and the daily maintenance and consumption are small, creating greater profitability. For small manufacturing companies, welding robots have unparalleled advantages. Similar to other industrial robots, current welding robots are constantly developing toward intelligence and diversification. For example, in terms of robot control systems, 6-axis robots that have been controlled by the past have now been able to control 21 or even 27 axes and have implemented software servo and full digital control. China is a big manufacturing country. For a long time to come, the manufacturing industry will still occupy an important position in the national economy. With the advancement of science and technology, improving the level of manufacturing will be the key to future competition, and the growth of welding robots will be possible.
